How many times do I have to say it, PR does not effect where you rank in Google. It seams like time and time again I hear or see people that claim having a higher pagerank will make them rank better. Now, believe it or not, the age of a domain actually can help a site rank higher, even if it has very few backlinks. In my personal belief I see PR being somewhat useless unless you sell links on your website. Pagerank can also be helpful because it can give you an idea of how popular a website is. Obviously, if the site has enough quality backlinks coming into it in order to give it a PR5 or a PR6 then you know it is probably getting some solid traffic. So there you have it, don’t think by getting your site to a PR4 it will automatically rank #1. In fact, a PR0 site may rank above you. Just continue to build backlinks using the specific keyword as your anchor/title text and with time you should rise in your rankings.
PageRank Does Not Effect Your Rankings
