One thing I love the most about end user domain name sales is that you are almost always gauranteed a decent return on your investment. Even if its only 30-40%, if you can find the right home for a name – that’s still a great return. Some people I chat with seam to think the hardest part about end user sales is actually finding the end user. I usually laugh when I hear this and then go on to tell them how they need to go back through their marketing books and learn some new information. The fact of the matter is that their are possible end users all over the web. Using search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Ask is a great way to start. I picked up DJwholesaler for only $12.67. I received the domain about 5 days after placing my bid on it. Following that I started by searching Google and contacting roughly 5-10 websites I found that looked like they could use the domain and make a lovely little home for it. Within about 24 hours I had received a response asking for a price range. After some negotiation I am pleased to announce that the domain sale was finalized and the money was in my account not even 7 days after making my official bid.

Remember domainers, don’t give crazy appraisals to your names. Be reasonable. Although this sale was not for thousands of dollars it was flipped quick, and for well over 100% ROI. Purchasing appraisals is never a bad idea if you really think your domain is worth thousands of dollars. But don’t use free ones – free ones are never very accurate.
