When I came across this name I thought there had some be someone out there who could use it. In the domain industry we calls these types of four letter domains VCVC. That particular acronym stands for vowel-constant-vowel-constant. These type of domain names are good for investors because there is only a limited supply of them. Since there are only 5 vowels (excluding Y) in the English language that means there can only be a small amount of possible letter combination’s in a VCVC or CVCV format. When we are talking about small limited supply on the INTERNET, which is in almost every country on this globe, that means these short names can pertain to tons of different companies from everywhere – hence making them more valuable.
This particular sale was for a .NET though, not a .COM. I found a particular communications company that had was trying to buy the .COM version but the owner did not sell. Once I caught the name with my drop catcher I decided to shoot them an email. They called me within about 3 hours of sending the email and the price was finalized. Another excellent end user sale off a name I paid reg. fee for!
